Thank You Tazo
Tazo Tea was formed in 1994 by Steve Smith and his business partners, Stephen Lee and Tom Mesher, who had also co founded the Stash Tea Company way back in 1972. Starbucks purchased Tazo in 1999, and Steve Smith retired from the company in 2006. Fortunately for us, Tazo is still offering high quality tasty tea products in a wide variety to this day. These are separated into three main categories; Black teas like the rich Tazo Chai, Green teas like the soothing Tazo Zen, and Herbal infusions like Tazo’s refreshing Wild Sweet Orange.
Tazo teas can be purchased in filter bags, loose tea leaves and in bottled beverages. I prefer the loose prada handbags or filter bags myself, but will occasionally purchase one of the bottled beverages as a treat during a road trip. While Tazo may not head my list of favorite tea brands, it is most definitely in my personal top ten.
Tazo teabags are made from oxygen whitened hemp cellulose with food grade aluminum staples anchoring the string, and all but (currently) four available varieties are gluten free; Green Ginger, Tazo Honeybush, Lemon Ginger and Tea Lemonade all contain gluten. All Tazo teas carry the KSA (Kosher Supervision of America) symbol of certification, and all of their decaffeinated teas are processed using highly pressurized carbon dioxide, the same gas that adds carbonation to mineral water. Unless the packaging specifically states that a given Tazo tea is decaffeinated, you ca prada handbags n safely assume that it is caffeinated. This includes the herbal infusion teas, like Calm, Lemon Mate or Sweet Cinnamon Spice.
I have never been more than a reluctant and sporadic coffee drinker, and those few cups have become much wider spread since developing acid reflux. But, I have enjoyed teas of all kinds throughout my life, and I know that I can trust Tazo brand teas to deliver a tea made with excellent ingredients and superb taste every time, no matter which flavor has leaped off the shelf and into my groceries.
For example, Calm, an excellent blend of chamomile, hibiscus, spearmint, rose petals, lemongrass, blackberry leaves, safflowers, peppermint, sarsaparilla, lemon balm and licorice has been a favorite treat for many years now. Not being particularly fond of the taste of mint in any form, this blend gives me all the benefits of mint without bludgeoning me over the head with it as so many teas containing mint seem to do. I can honestly say that the complex taste does invite a certain serene contemplation to prada handbags o.
Recently, I was very ill for about 20 days with what was, I must assume, a particularly nasty viral influence of some kind. For days I struggled with nausea, dizziness, and violent bouts of vomiting. I spent four of those 20 days in the hospital where they did their best to keep my hydrated, figure out what was going on with me and eradicate my symptoms. They managed to get me to a point where I could consume liquids on my own again, and upon returning home, I requested something with ginger in it as I have always found ginger to be the best thing to help remedy any kind of upset stomach.
My husband came home with a box of Tazo’s Green Ginger, a simple blend of green teas, ginger and lemongrass. It was exactly what I needed to begin feeling human again! Tasty without being overwhelming in my then hyper sensitive state, Green Ginger helped to warm and comfort me while settling and soothing my aching middle, as well as providing me with helpful antioxidants. Green Ginger, along with my husband’s excellent homemade soups, gently coaxed me back to a more healthful and relaxed state and I was back to solid foods in just a few days.
While I have always enjoyed Tazo teas, I can now highly recommend their Green Ginger for those looking for something tasty that will help smooth away nausea, dizziness, and upset stomach as well as helping to cleanse your body of oxidative stress. Whether your upset is minor or major, I would suggest Green Ginger be added to your shopping list as a truly savoury and useful option.
Pros: tasty, healthy, flavorful and in a wide variety
Cons: a little pricey for teabags unless on sale
Bottom line: Oh so worth it!

For days, I couldn’t eat anything at all unless he made it for me. I’m pretty sure the missing ingredient from everything else I tried to eat was the heaping scoop of Love he put into everything he made me. :o) Ginger ale usually doesn’t contain ginger anymore (don’t get the point there lol), but crystalized ginger, ginger tea, or something similar is always best for treating any upset stomach. xo :o)
My mom’s answer to everything was take some asprin and put your socks on. My kids say my answer to anything that ails you is to drink some tea and take a nap! If you google, you can find tons of opinions on ginger as a remedy for flu like symptoms. this one sums up it’s usefulness quite well.
“Today, health care professionals commonly recommend to help prevent or treat nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness, pregnancy, and cancer chemotherapy. It is also used as a digestive aid for mild stomach upset, as support in inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, and may even be used in heart disease or cancer.”I had no idea it was also useful in an anti inflammatory diet! I love learning something new :o) Tazo, Stash, Celestial Seasonings, Yogi and Twinings are my top favorites for teas. I have an entire cupboard that is usually devoted to nothing but teas lol This cupboard usually gets pared down to my staple favorites by spring and right about now is when we begin restocking for the cold seasons. Cherry Berry by Celestial Seasonings is wonderful for soothing coughs before they get really nasty, and I do select certain teas for their medicinal uses, whatever the brand. Yep. I Love my tea! :o)
How about Chai? It’s great hot or iced with honey and milk. Honestly Renda, my kids will ask me, “Mom, this is how I feel. what kind of tea should I drink?” lol There are so many combinations, and healthy reasons to drink tea. I know that drinking green tea on a daily basis has made a positive impact on my health and immune system. Green tea bags also make excellent warm compresses for an aching tooth! ultimately though, tea is a ritual for me, so I always feel better afterwards! Unfortunately, coffee and I don’t often get along as it upsets my acid reflux, but a robust tea like Chai or Celestial Seasonings Mandarin Orange Spice often appeals to coffee drinkers. There are so many more choices than plain black tea! Love makes Everything taste better :o)
Easier said than done is exactly right! lol It is next to impossible to actually find anyone in the medical field who is rational, reasonable, competent and ethical as well as willing to work with you! “Frustrated” doesn’t even come close to describing how I feel about the whole topic of trying to get help for anxiety/stress lately. lol I’ve decided that as long as it I’m feeling better, that is all that matters right now. “I just don’t have time for this, and have much better things to be doing!” is my attitude lol Thanks for all the well wishing, Renda :o) Greatly appreciated!
